AI: YouTube Production Studio
Step into the future of storytelling. In this creative camp experience, young filmmakers explore YouTube’s newest AI tools to bring their ideas to life on screen. Ninjas will turn photos into full videos, experiment with special effects, and design custom music using the tools in YouTube's AI Playground. They will also use AI to spark video ideas, plan scripts, and invent scenes that would be impossible to film in real life. Throughout the week, creators learn smart, safe, and responsible ways to use AI as a tool while practicing camera skills, storytelling, and editing techniques. Lights, camera, imagination: it is time to create something amazing.

Cybersecurity: Codebreaking
Kids with a passion for codes, secret messages, and interactive challenges will love this camp! They'll travel through the world of cryptology, creating and deciphering coded information like the codebreakers of yore and delve into historical puzzle-creating techniques, applying these methods to craft their own secret messages and puzzles that intrigue and challenge. But the fun doesn't stop there! Using Microsoft MakeCode Arcade and micro:bit, Ninjas will harness the power of computer programming to write their very own encryption and decryption programs. These skills will culminate in the creation of an escape room mega-puzzle, a collaborative masterpiece to play and share with fellow campers and friends.

Ninjas will use platforms including Minecraft Education, to transform into data defenders, safeguarding virtual data centers from sneaky viruses and following cryptic clues to unravel the mysteries of suspicious online activity. They'll explore the art of cyber defense through hands-on adventures like coding their own antivirus, spotting phishing scams, and crafting secret ciphers. And fair warning—be prepared to update your own login info after they witness the power of strong passwords by attempting to crack into fake accounts. It's a week jam-packed with action, creativity, and loads of learning!

Animation: Digital Video Studio
Lights, Camera, Edit! Unleash your child's inner filmmaker as they become a digital director and enter the world of video editing! Throughout the week, campers will use OBS and CapCut to work on creative projects teaching them to record and edit their own videos. They'll craft engaging game commentary, produce a dynamic 30-second commercial, and deliver a compelling green screen news report. Along the way, kids will learn essential video editing skills such as trimming clips, setting key frames, and adding transitions to bring their visions to life. The grand finale is the capstone project, where each camper creates a video showcasing the skills and techniques they've mastered for our Code Ninjas Film Festival. That's a wrap!

This camp offers an inspiring journey through the art of stop motion animation experimenting with Claymation, LEGO® Minifigures, paper cutouts, and more, while learning the intricate process of capturing images frame-by-frame. This hands-on approach produces video in a rapid prototyping style culminating in various shorts from enchanting magic trick illusions to captivating walking character animations to a thrilling 3-part story.
