Our goal is to make learning feel like an adventure while sparking a lifelong interest in the world beyond our own borders. Creativity Counts empowers individuals of all ages and abilities to explore their artistic voices through visual and performing arts. Led by professional actress and singer Chanta Layton Harris—a Charles Town, WV native trained at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts and Temple University—the program blends art, music, and theater to build confidence, collaboration, and self-expression. With national and international performance experience spanning classical, opera, gospel, R&B, jazz, and musical theater, Chanta inspires students to discover their authentic voices, embrace creativity, and use the arts as a tool for personal growth and transformation.
