Jefferson County Wild LacrosseJC Wild Lacrosse is in its fourth year of providing lacrosse for county youth. Teams will be organized by grade levels (1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, high school) for girls and boys. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn this fast-paced, fun and competitive game!  Parent meeting and uniform sizing will be scheduled over the winter. Grades 1-8:Your child will have at least twice weekly practice (times TBD by coaches) to learn fundamental skills and rules for lacrosse. Games will mostly take place in MD, WV, VA or PA on Saturdays for boys and Sundays for girls. Practices begin early March at James Hite Park or nearby field with games running from mid-March through mid-June culminating in an end of the season tournament.  The first year's uniform for those without one is included in the registration fee. All players will need to register for a USA Lacrosse membership.  Equipment is not provided. Boys required equipment includes: black helmet, mouth guard, elbow pads, gloves, athletic supporter, cleats (no metal spikes), stick. Girls required gear includes: goggles, mouth guard, cleats (no metal spikes) and stick. Limited equipment available to borrow. Parent meeting and uniform sizing will be scheduled over the winter. Opening game weekend is March 15-16.  Our club is affiliated with the Western Maryland Youth Lacrosse Conference.  High School:Teams consist of Jefferson County high school students from JHS and WHS. Practices occur 3-5 days per week at WMS or nearby field typically 4:45-6:30 beginning February 17th. Experience basketball skill enhancement with a certified “I’m Possible Trainer”. Each player will have their own patented training aides to use which hold them accountable to “game-real” traits. An increase of skill leads to confidence on the court. Skills will be tailored to educate while challenging each participant. Expect improvement in ball handling, shooting, passing and footwork. All classes are Co-Ed.

Jefferson County Wild LacrosseJC Wild Lacrosse is in its fourth year of providing lacrosse for county youth. Teams will be organized by grade levels (1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, high school) for girls and boys. Beginners are welcome to join us and learn this fast-paced, fun and competitive game!  Parent meeting and uniform sizing will be scheduled over the winter. Grades 1-8:Your child will have at least twice weekly practice (times TBD by coaches) to learn fundamental skills and rules for lacrosse. Games will mostly take place in MD, WV, VA or PA on Saturdays for boys and Sundays for girls. Practices begin early March at James Hite Park or nearby field with games running from mid-March through mid-June culminating in an end of the season tournament.  The first year's uniform for those without one is included in the registration fee. All players will need to register for a USA Lacrosse membership.  Equipment is not provided. Boys required equipment includes: black helmet, mouth guard, elbow pads, gloves, athletic supporter, cleats (no metal spikes), stick. Girls required gear includes: goggles, mouth guard, cleats (no metal spikes) and stick. Limited equipment available to borrow. Parent meeting and uniform sizing will be scheduled over the winter. Opening game weekend is March 15-16.  Our club is affiliated with the Western Maryland Youth Lacrosse Conference.  High School:Teams consist of Jefferson County high school students from JHS and WHS. Additionally, private school and home school students in the county or those not eligible to play for their local WV high school out-of-county may also register. Practices occur 3-5 days per week at WMS or nearby field typically 4:45-6:30 beginning February 17th. Season games begin in March through mid-May across the state with possible games in VA or PA through the WVSLA organization. Eligible players must meet a 2.0 GPA requirement. For all players, the first year's uniform is included in the registration fee. All players will need to register for a USA Lacrosse membership. Equipment is not provided. Learn the basics of photography with Morgan McMahon an experienced local portrait photographer. This course will help any aspiring artist learn how to use a camera to its fullest potential while covering topics such as the exposure triangle, lighting, composition and basic editing. This course will also include hands on props and prompts for each student to photograph as they practice the topics they are learning.Students should come prepared with their own camera.  Acceptable cameras should allow for the user to adjust shutter speed and exposure, such as a DSLR-style camera or Apple iPhone.  Due to a wide array of possible interfaces and capabilities, Android cell phones will not meet the requirements for this class.

Summoning all supers!  Paging all Princesses!  Come join us at Sam Michaels Park for a Saturday morning full of fun, food, costumes, and games! Kids (and adults) are invited to come dressed as your favorite superhero or princess and join us for donuts, obstacle courses, crafts and more, all with special visits from some of your favorite TV and movie characters.  Parents/older siblings accompanying a participating child do not need to register for this activity, only those children participating.
